A beautiful spring like day was the setting for the soccer game for rivals Magee and Mendenhall. The game was played on Trojan filed. #14 Emily Lunn would score a goal for the Tigers to put them on top 1-0. Brook May for Magee would answer with a goal as well to tie the score 1-1. The first half would not end without a heartbreaker for the Trojans. #43 Maya McCollough, a junior, would be injured in an unfortunate accident. She would have to leave the game and stadium to be treated. The second half would not be favorable for the Trojans. # 19 Dasia Burkett would score a goal for the Tigers and give them the lead that would result in the final score of the game. The Trojans played a hard defensive game. The offensive was just not able to capitalize and score any goals in the second half. At the end of regulation the Tigers would take the victory with a score of 2-1.
