Words cannot adequately express my gratitude for the support shown this
weekend during the outbreak of fires. There is no way the Mendenhall
Volunteer Fire Department could have handled that situation alone
A huge thank you to the volunteer fire fighters from Mendenhall, Station 7, Magee, Braxton, Pinola, Star, Puckett, and the Mississippi Forestry Commission. We also appreciate the assistance and communication we received from the Simpson County Sheriff’s Department and Mendenhall Police Department.
We are grateful for those that brought food, snacks, and drinks, as well as those that covered the entire operation with love and prayers. Simpson County and surrounding neighbors pulled together in a big way to prevent a bad situation from being much worse.
