Mendenhall Elementary FLAG students were given the opportunity to participate in Disney’s YES program, Discovering Marine Life Conservation, at EPCOT in Disney World in late November. Students played the role of marine conservationists to learn about the difficulties facing aquatic animals in the wild as well as ways they could help them. MES students who participated were Morgan Johnson, Noah Carlisle, Sam Rankin, Jeremiah Magee, Tolan Pitts, Braylon McCrory, Anson Fewell, Rylee Durr ,Kyndal Holloway, Zaydn Kendall, Abram Bryant, Henry Funches, Lizzie Whitaker, Maddox McRae, Andrew Carlisle, Aaron Batton, Cooper Dickerson, Taylor Bridges, Kylie Brewer, Nicholas Gardner, and Bonnie Boles (not pictured). Mrs. Judy Byrd, MES gifted teacher, is pictured with them.
