Melvin Nelson Brown
(January 25, 1948 – June 7, 2022)

Melvin Nelson Brown, 74 of Pinola, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, Mississippi. He was born Sunday, January 25, 1948, in Shivers, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall at 3077 Simpson Hwy 13, Mendenhall, Mississippi.

Survivors include his three sons, Daniel Brown (Kim) of Brandon, Mississippi, David Brown (Tonya) of Batesville, Mississippi and Mark Brown, Sr. (Miranda) of Batesville, Mississippi;  nine grandchildren, London Brown of Shivers, Mississippi, Patricia Brown Bradshaw of Shivers, Mississippi, Samantha Brown of Batesville, Mississippi, Hunter Brown of Batesville, Mississippi, Merecedes Brown Matthews of Batesville, Mississippi, Mark Brown, Jr. (Renee) of Batesville, Mississippi, Morgan Brown Lamb (Lucas) of Batesville, Mississippi and Allison Brown of Mize, Mississippi, Christy Willis of Batesville, Mississippi; thirteen great-grandchildren, Sebastian Brown of Mendenhall, Mississippi, Greyson Hollis of Shivers, Mississippi, Hazel Bradshaw of Shivers, Mississippi, Abel Turnage of Shivers, Mississippi, Chole Matthews of Batesville, Mississippi, Corbin Matthews of Batesville, Mississippi, Kaylee Brown of Batesville, Mississippi, Mattie Brown of Batesville, Mississippi, Maggie Lamb of Batesville, Mississippi, Jason Lamb of Batesville, Mississippi, Leo Nguyen of Brandon, Mississippi, Easton Brooks of Batesville, Mississippi, and Winston Brooks of Batesville, Mississippi; brother, Jimmy Dale Brown (Rosie) of El Paso, Texas; and a host of other family members and friends.
