Up front:  Let me apologize!!!  I began live streaming the forum on face book live when my phone died…which also hindered my ability to “get a bunch of pictures.”  You know, I think I’ve got everything together…and then realize…no phone juice!  I wonder if there will ever be a point in time when I’ve “got it all together?”  Nope!!!

Due to a Board of Alderman meeting, the order of appearance was decided by the candidates who are now serving on the board going first.  Mayoral Candidate Dale Berry spoke first.  Each speaker was allowed 3 minutes and MC Pat Brown kept the crowd entertained keeping the candidates within their time limit!

Hot dogs, popcorn, and lemonade were available to everyone.  We even had a few crying babies…which only adds to the fun of the night!

Each candidate stated their case and told why we needed to vote for them.  Every candidate did an excellent job.

I had to leave the rally early due to the Board of Alderman meeting.  At the board meeting, two resolutions were passed.       SusanYates One honored the late Tommy Everett and the other the late Jerry Sullivan.  Tommy Everett’s daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Buddy Yates, were on hand to accept the certificate.   The actual board meeting is live on the home page of MageeNews.  Golf carts on city streets were discussed.  For a golf cart to be on a street in the city of Magee, the cart must be legal which requires blinkers, lights, seatbelts, and a tag.  …so ya’ll better get your carts legal!

What a great night in Magee…what a great night to be among people who care about the welfare of our city.
