Magee Mayor, Dale Berry, was notified by the MDOC that the use of inmates for garbage disposal would not longer be a resource that can be used.  Due to an accident in Lucedale, MS all inmates are being pulled statewide from garbage pickup. Magee uses 6 inmates. The city will work this weekend to create a solution for the garbage pick up.  It is a possibility garbage might be delayed next week until a work around can be created. We will keep you up to date on garbage collection as soon as a solution is made. Please be patient with the city, county and state as they work quickly to resolve this issue.
