MDOC Escaped Inmate Whetstone Captured
PARCHMAN, MS – State inmate Nevin Whetstone, who escaped from the Mississippi State Penitentiary was captured in Sunflower County on Friday, March 7, with the help of local, state, and federal authorities.
Whetstone, MDOC #56663, is serving a life sentence for capital murder committed in Lee County and one year for escape from the Sunflower County Jail. He was sentenced on December 14, 1984.
