The Mississippi College women’s soccer team landed three players on the post-season All-GSC teams that were announced on Monday. Caitlin Hayes garnered First Team All-Conference honors, while Lauren Kate Carter and Gaylynn Cooper earned Second Team All-Conference honors.
hayes-caitlinHayes finished the regular season with six goals scored on the year, a mark that ranked her second on the Lady Choctaws. The sophomore defender tallied 15 points on the season, which tied for second among Lady Choctaws. Hayes led the team, and finished second in the GSC, with four game-winning goals on the season.

carter-lauren-kateCarter scored three goals, and posted a team-high nine assists on the season. Carter accumulated 15 points on the season, which tied her for second place on the team. The Tupelo, Miss. native was recognized as the GSC Freshman of the Week back on Oct. 4.

cooper-gaylynnCooper was part of a defensive unit for MC that held opponents to just 8.5 shots per game, and 0.88 goals per contest. The Jackson, Miss. native started and played in all 17 games for the Lady Choctaws, while playing in 90 or more minutes in eight of those contests. She was responsible for an assist against Valdosta State on Oct. 7.

The Lady Choctaws will return to action on Tuesday, when play host to West Georgia in the opening round of the GSC Postseason Tournament. Match time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
