Cole McAplin, senior at Simpson Academy, was joined by family and friends to sign with Belhaven University on Friday, March 22. Cole has played for Simpson over the past three years and will continue his football career.
Following the event, McAlpin gave me the following quote: “I’m truly blessed to be given this opportunity to play ball at a collegiate level. None of this would be possible without my coaches and the support I have received. I’d like thank everyone who helped get me here, especially my dad. He has taught me to never back down and that failure is never an option. He’s always been my role model, and I’ve always wanted to be as good as him. I can’t wait to see what the next four years hold. Belhaven is going to do great things in the future, and I’m proud to be a part of it!
