Members of the Mayor’s Youth Council are made up of students from Magee High School and Simpson County Academy, and are chosen from nominations from their schools grade 10-12.
Being a member of the Mayor’s Youth Council helps give students first hand knowledge of how government works. Students who participate develop leadership skills.
Each member is required to participate in community based project.
