Mayor Dale Berry reported the following to the board Tuesday, November 19, 2019 during the Magee Board of Alderman meeting.

The YMCA Recycle bin has been closed.  Citizens will no longer be able to drop recycled items there anymore. The dog pound at Magee had heaters provided by the Magee Coop during the cold weather a week ago. The pound can house up to 12 dogs. At present time there are only two dogs in the pound. The dogs are feed daily, wormed, and treated for flees if needed. No other type medical care is given to the animals. Mayor Berry advised the gates have been installed at McNair Springs. The gates will be locked every evening at dark. Mayor Berry advised all residents that November 30th is National Shop Local Day. All citizens are urged to shop local. According to Berry 60% of money spent local stays local.
