LAUREL, Miss. – November 17, 2025 – South Central Regional Medical Center and Magee General Hospital Emergency Departments are excited to welcome Derek A. Wierzbicki, MD.
Derek A. Wierzbicki, MD, earned his medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center in 2002 and completed his emergency medicine residency at Louisiana State University in 2006. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Hyperbaric and Undersea Medicine at Louisiana State University in 2007.
“I am looking forward to serving the unique patient populations here at South Central and in Magee,” Dr. Wierzbicki said.
Dr. Wierzbicki will serve as a member of the medical staff for the South Central Emergency Department and the Magee General Hospital Emergency Department.
