Mattie Lee, 76 of Magee, MS, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

Mattie was the third of twelve children born on March 13, 1944, to the late Archivol and Lillie Jane Caraway. Mattie attended Mclaurin Attendance Center in Magee, MS. She then continued her education at Alcon University. Later, she moved to Los Angeles and worked for GTE for twenty-five years and retired.

Soon after, she moved to Mississippi and became an active member of the Columbia Seven Day Adventist Church. Mattie was a faithful servant of the Lord and loved the Lord dearly.

Mattie leaves to cherish her memory in three children, Sherice (Tony), Kenya (LaSonya), and Jahmel. Mattie had nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; six sisters, Earnestine, Mary, Linda, Brenda, Yvette, and Yvonne; one brother, Gary.

She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert Caraway and Aaron Caraway; two sisters, Katie Mae Caraway and Celestine Caraway; Mattie also leaves behind nieces and nephews who love her dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee.

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home.
