Matthew Drennon “Matt” Stevens, 60 of Puckett, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Friday, June 23, 2023, at his home. He was born on Sunday, July 29, 1962 in Jackson, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at County Line Baptist Church, 1132 County Line Road, Mendenhall, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at County Line Baptist Church. The burial will follow in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Bro. Mickey Ferguson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401
Matt attended church at County Line Baptist Church in Mendenhall, Mississippi. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs, grilling, and working in his yard, but most of all spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Flora Grace James Stevens; and his sister, Sherri Stevens Cottle.
Survivors include his father, Travis Stevens of Puckett, MS; four children, Joey Stevens (Bethany) of Flowood, MS, Grace Stevens Thornton (Wayne) of Mize, MS, Ryen Stevens Combest (Casey) of Madison, MS and Jake Stevens of Chattanooga, TN; twelve grandchildren, Gavin Stevens of Clinton, MS, Kylie Stevens of Clinton, MS, Kyndall Stevens of Clinton, MS, Jett Stevens of Flowood, MS, Damion Stevens of Flowood, MS, Taylor Baron of Puckett, MS, John Thomas Glenn of Mize, MS, Embry Thornton of Mize, MS, Addison Combest of Madison, MS, Clark Combest of Madison, MS, Patrick Combest of Madison, MS, and Wells Combest of Madison, MS; one nephew, Jonathan Cottle of Hattiesburg, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.
