Mary Nell Parker, 88 of Florence, MS passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024 at her residence in Florence, MS. She was born Thursday, June 4, 1936 in Brandon, MS.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS. Burial will follow in Puckett Cemetery in Puckett, MS. Bro. Danny Dickerson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Huey Parker; father, Henry Wade Beavers; mother, Audell Styron Beavers; brothers, Wayne Beavers and Henry Wade Beavers, Jr.; sisters, Henrietta Hickman and Clemmie Porter.

She is survived by her son, Marcus Parker; daughters, Betty Tucker (Daniel) and Deborah Parker Hannah; grandchildren, Danielle Tucker Butler (Robert), Kimberly Tucker Ashmore (John Ryan), Michael Thomas Johnson and Isaiah Lucas Johnson; sister, Imel Vanderford; 6 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Tucker, Marcus Parker, Robert Butler, John Ryan Patterson, Michael Johnson, and Isaiah Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Konner Calliham.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to your local church, food bank, or to any families in need.
