Mary Joyce Cockrell Entrekin passed away at home in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on August 11, 2024 at the age of 75. She was born on September 17, 1948 to James Kenneth and Mary Aileene Cockrell in Magee, Mississippi.  She was preceded in death by her parents James K. and Aileene Everette Cockrell and her brother James E. Cockrell.

She is survived by her husband Paul Entrekin of Hattiesburg, Ms, as well as her sons Gary W. Shivers (Andrea) and Luke L. Shivers (Allison); her grandchildren Jessalee Jenkins (CJ), Triston Shivers (Abigail), Anna Grace Shivers, Hallie Shivers and Maggie Shivers; and her great-grandchildren Callan Jenkins, Ryland Jenkins, Takoda Shivers, Idagene Shivers and Tilly Jane Shivers.
