Mary Brown Austin, 77, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, January 6, 2018.  She was born on June 7, 1940, to the late Don Brown and Delonis Cook Brown in Simpson County.

Mary retired from Boswell Regional Center after working there for many years. She was a member of Rials Creek United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Robert V. Shows; daughters, Martha C. Phillips, Sharon J. Creel; sister, Faye Berry; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Allen Austin; son, Joseph Daniel Walker, Jr.; brother, John W. Brown, and sister, Katie M. Womack.

Visitation for friends will be Monday, January 8, 2018, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, at Rials Creek United Methodist Church with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until service begins. Reverend M. G. Bayliss, Reverend Sammy Napier, and Reverend Ron Webb will officiate. Interment will follow in Rials Creek Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
