Mary Boykin Evans passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at the age of 96. She was born on October 1, 1926, to Talmadge and Rose Smith Boykin.
She was a resident of Taylorsville, Mississippi. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, William Mac Evans (Emily); daughter, Wanda Evans Boyles (Mark); grandchildren, Bret Boyles (Kristy), Bethany Boyles Seal (Jeb), Zach Evans (Shannon), Dylan Evans (Marianna); great-grandchildren, Tucker Evans, Hank Evans, Rowan Evans, Elizabeth Evans, Mary Reagan Seal, Tate Morgan Seal, and Parker Boyles.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Gaynell Evans; son, Robert G. “Bob” Evans (Paula); and great-grandchild, Bailey Boyles.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The graveside service will be held at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 11 AM with interment following with Dr. Frankie Clark officiating.
