Marvin Edward Rose passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years old. He died doing the thing he loved most working alongside his son, Bradley.
Marvin grew up in York, Pennsylvania, from a hard-working family. He joined the United States Air Force right out of school. Then, he met the love of his life, Sharen Shaw, and they’ve been happily married for 56 years. Together, they have a large, close-knit family that looks to Marvin as the head of the family. Racing was his habit, and farming was his life. He was a simple man who loved his family. He was a fierce protector and provider for them. They meant the world to him as he did them. He instilled a hard work ethic in them with honest and kind morals. He did not care for the things of this world, he cared for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dee and Ruth Harrell.
Marvin is survived by his devoted wife, Sharen; son, Bradley Rose (Jennifer); daughters, Camille Rose (Angela), Jennifer Banae (Blaise), Brandi Powell (Bryan), Carin Walls (Jeff), Nicole Jordan (Dale); two brothers, one sister; nineteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The graveside service will be at 7:00 am on Tuesday, November 26, at Southern Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Bishop Brian Harris, Dale Jordan, and Jeff Walls will officiate the service.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
