Marvin David Griffith passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 2, 2025, in Vicksburg, MS. He was born on January 15, 1962, to Jimmie David Griffith and Marjorie Rose Williamson Griffith.
Marvin had worked for over thirty plus years as an oil field consultant. He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed planting his garden every year. He would help anyone anytime, anywhere. That was just his kind and giving heart. He had just finished their lake house at Eagle Lake and looked forward to enjoying it with their children, grandchildren and family.
His Uncle Arthur and Aunt Pauline helped raise him and his first cousins were more like his brothers and sisters. He loved his family, and they had a very close bond growing up. He loved and adored his girls, Maegan and Morgan. They were Daddy’s girls. He got promoted to PawPaw and enjoyed every minute of it and in his eyes nothing came close to his girls and grand babies.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents,; his aunt and uncle, Pauline and Arthur Williamson, and his brother, Randy Griffith.
He is survived by his love of thirty-three years, Debora Clark Griffith; his two girls, Maegan Griffith Taylor (Daniel) and Morgan Griffith Winstead (Michael); and his four grandchildren, Maebry, Eli, Olivia, and Margie Rose, along with other family members and many friends. Marvin will be deeply missed.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The service will be at 12:00 p.m. in the Tutor Chapel. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Mendenhall.
