Martha Kathryn Keen Sharbrough, 68, of Magee, Mississippi, passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Saturday, June 17, 2021, at the University Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born Sunday, January 25, 1953, in Simpson County, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery, Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Chris Garcia will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031
Mrs. Sharbrough attended Magee Congregational Methodist Church in Magee, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved going to church, cooking, reading, singing, playing the piano, shopping, and fishing. She never met a stranger and always saw the good in everything. She loved her Boswell family but most of all she loved her grandchildren and always spoke of them. She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, JP Keen, Sr.; mother, Wilma Dean Mayton Keen; one brother, John Pierce Keen, Jr.; and one sister, Betty Ann Keen.
Survivors include her loving husband of forty-eight years, Billy Sharbrough of Magee; one daughter, Angela Lee Sharbrough Neely and her husband, Rowdy, of Harrisville; four grandchildren, Bailey Ann Sharbrough, Marlie Marie Neely, Allison Reese Neely, and Ashlyn McKade Neely all of Harrisville; three sisters, Brenda Walker of Harrisville, Carol Thomas and her husband, Troy, of Delhi, LA, and Cindy Easterling and her husband, Scott, of Pinola.
Pallbearers will be Trey Cowan, Jimmy Hanna, Scott Taylor, Tommy Walker, Ronnie Walker, and David Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Taylor and Troy Thomas.
