Martha Benton Roberts (November 24, 1927 – May 1, 2017) Martha Benton Roberts, 89, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 in Moblie, Alabama. She was born Thursday, November 24, 1927 in Simpson County, MS.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 5, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Jupiter Baptist Church in Mendenhall. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 5, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Jupiter Baptist Church in Mendenhall, MS. Burial will follow in Jupiter Baptist Church Cemetery .Rev. Danny Powell will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601)849-5031.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, J.M. Benton, Sr. and Elzine Benton, Brother – J.M. Benton, Jr., (Anne) Survivors include her Daughter, Marsha Grim (Randy), Mobile, Alabama; Grandchildren – Myles Grim (Lauren), Southaven, MS, Lydia Rather (Michael), Mobile, Alabama; Great Grandchildren, Reed Rather, Lane Rather, Alana Grim; Niece, Diane Lowery (Pete), D Lo; Nephews, Mike Benton (Marion), Braxton and Joe Benton (Rhoda), Braxton; Great- Nephews, Brad White, Blake Benton (Karen), Patrick Benton, and Hayden Benton; Great- Niece, Lacey Varner (Lance).
We would like to express special appreciation to Diane Lowery for her love and care of NaNa as well as to Mike Benton and family, Joe Benton and family, the members of Jupiter Baptist Church, Gulf Coast Rehabilitation and Betty Young.
