Mark Mangum
Mendenhall, MS
Mark Wilkin Mangum, 58, a lifelong resident of Mendenhall, Mississippi, made his final ride to his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. He was born November 27, 1961, to Joyce Welch Mangum and Henry Durr Mangum in Jackson, Mississippi.

Mark was a retired Supervisor from The Blain Companies. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He developed his love for horses and cattle from following his grandfather to local “cow sales” and auctions. He was active in 4-H and FFA, but was most passionate about team roping. He was an active member of The United States Team Ropers Association. He traveled many miles across the USA and won many awards on both local and national levels.

Mark was a devoted father, a loving husband, and a dedicated family man. He will be missed, but his life will be remembered and celebrated in the memories told of his courage and inspiration to all.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, Durr; his father-in-law, Johnnie Riley, Kosciusko and his grandparents, Wilkin and Mamie Mangum and Timmie and Erna Welch.
