Marcia Carroll Warren, 75 of Mendenhall, MS went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 20, 2024. She was born Wednesday, September 1, 1948 in Hattiesburg, MS.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall, 3077 Simpson Hwy 13, Mendenhall, MS. A Graveside service will follow at 11:15am at Clearview Baptist Cemetery in Mendenhall, MS. Gerald Vance will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401
Marcia was a fine Christian woman who loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and siblings fiercely. She was everyone’s caretaker, always loving and providing for those around her. Her family will remember her humor and quick wit. She will be deeply missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Earl Workman; father, Cayce Merrill Vance; mother, Mary Hazle Vance-Bryant; sister, Sheree Vance Price.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Alvin Thomas Warren; sons, John Earl Workman, II (Melinda) and Matthew Vance Workman (Paige); daughters, Kim Waid (Tim) and Leisa Birdsong; grandchildren, Kenzie Riley (Garrett), John “Tripp” Workman, III (Caylee), Kadin Adcox (Zeke), Creel Workman and Bailey Middleton; great grandchildren, Bennie Riley, Kruze Maddox and Christina Rogers; brother, Gerald Vance (Robbin); sister, June Vance Lay (Richard); brother-in-law, John Paul Price; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.
Pallbearers will be John “Tripp” Workman III, Creel Workman, Tim Waid, Garrett Riley, Konnor Smith, and Jeremiah Stennett.
