I came to know Marc McArthur through First Baptist Church of Magee. He was a man of few words but spoke a powerful message through the life he lived. Marc was a retired pharmacist who worked in Collins, Magee, and Mendenhall. He was a member of First Baptist Church,
Marc had a special place in his heart and life for Boswell residents. He was the Sunday School teacher for the Boswell class at FBC. He conducted weekly Bible study for his Boswell friends. Marc was involved quietly with every activity at our church. He worked everywhere and anywhere he was needed.
He was a quiet Christian who made a difference by the life he lived. I will miss Marc. I will miss his kindness and generosity too old and young. I will miss his presence every Sunday in the front middle pews sitting with his Boswell friends.
Marc was diagnosed with lung cancer several months ago. He made the decision not to have treatment. I think he knew and had seen to much of the dreaded disease. Thursday, Marc was involved in a car accident which contributed to his death. Marc did not suffer. He served the Lord, his family, and his friends until the last day. I believe God was merciful to Marc. He was teaching Sunday school, attending church, and conducting Bible study to the end.
Marc McArthur a quiet Christian who truly made a difference.
