On Saturday, April 6, McNair Springs was the kickoff site for a series of cleanups across the State of Mississippi. The Magee Chamber of Commerce and other local organizations joined together for the betterment of the community. The cleanup event began with prayer and Ace Evans sang the National Anthem.
Some volunteers handled labor while others made sure that the appropriate jobs were being completed. The Simpson Academy baseball and cheer team were both at the event offering their help to move the project forward. Also, students at the Vocational School are working on a new gate for the entrance into the area. In the near future, the roof will be replaced on the pavilion; paving the way for events to be hosted at the area. There were seven project sites that were worked on Saturday, and below are some before and after pictures. It’s awesome to see our community coming together for the betterment of our future.
The projects showcased above and much more were completed on Saturday. I encourage you to ride through the area and check it out!
