The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Psalm 62:1-2: “My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress; I will never be shaken.” The psalmist never missed an opportunity to sing God’s praises, and this is one of his best songs or poems. Rest in body and peace of mind were both provided anyone who wished to enter into covenant with God. Saving grace, inner courage, and personal protection also awaited all who asked. The same holds true for us today. God never changes; He’s just the same: then, today, and forever. If you have not already, please accept God’s gift of salvation and enter into the special covenant the psalmist wrote about so eloquently. “Whosoever will, let him come.” Amen!
