Jo Lynn Magee, who has spent the last thirty years at the Magee Post Office, made it official last week—she’s going home!
Jo Lynn has spent those thirty years pretty much on the same route. Originally the area she serviced was named Rt. 3. When 911 addresses were implemented, the route identification became Streets and roads.
The Magee Post Office honored Jo Lynn with a retirement breakfast. Her son Kevin attended with her. Jo Lynn is loved! According to clerk Candy Maddox, “we already miss her!”
Congratulations, Jo Lynn! Who knows what the future holds…it just will not be the post office!
