Golf carts on the road ways (city streets of Magee and Simpson County) are now legal…if the golf cart is “street legal.” Street legal requires seat belts, blinkers, windshield, and lights in addition to a licensed driver behind the wheel!
The City of Magee Attorney Bruce Smith informed me at an earlier board meeting, “that carts must have a tag…so get one!” Well, I do try to mind, and our MageeNews.com golf cart is out and about; therefore, I began working to get the golf cart tagged.
I did so Monday!
Michael Allan, who assists with MageeNews, insisted that we have a personalized tag! Be looking for “MagNews” going down the road!
The ladies of Charles Baldwin’s office were fantastic in working-out everything for me to be legal! Don’t forget insurance is required!
Thanks to these awesome ladies: Amanda Neely Daughdrill, Carolyn Williams, Kathy Kennedy, and Nicky McCallum.
