On Monday, May 13, 2019, it was a Trojan verses Trojan battle. The Magee Trojans played the West Marion Trojans in the second game of the South State Championship.
West Marion had a hot start in the top of the 1st inning with a 2 run homerun. Magee was unable to answer back in the bottom of the 1st but was able to score 3 in the bottom of the 2nd inning.
West Marion would crank up the heat in the top of the 3rd scoring 2 more runs. However, Magee answered back with 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd, making the score 5-4 Magee.
In the bottom of the 4th, Magee scored 6 runs, putting the pressure on West Marion. West Marion would not be able to come back, and in the bottom of the 6th, Magee would score 3 more runs to end the game on the 10-run rule with the final score West Marion 4, Magee 14.
Magee and West Marion will face off again tonight, Tuesday, May 14, 2019. at 6:00 pm in the deciding game of the South State Championship at West Marion. Please come out and support our Magee Trojans.
