Magee fought its way back with a rushing touchdown by #1 Braeden Gregory with a minute left in the first half. Fairchild again scored the point after, and the Trojans headed into halftime with a 14-13 lead.

After the half, the Trojans took control quickly, and Walker added six points early in the 3rd quarter with a 52-yard run. A missed point after attempt left the Trojans with a 20-13 lead with 11 minutes to go in the quarter.

Franklin County was not able to stop the Trojans, and Gregory caught a pass for a touchdown with 10 minutes to go, bringing the score to 26-13. The point after attempt was no good.

The Trojans continued to dominate the 3rd quarter, and Walker scored again on a run. With six minutes left in the quarter, the Trojans attempted a two-point conversion but fell short, leaving the score at 32-13.

With two minutes to go in the 3rd, the quarterback completed a pass to Gregory for a touchdown, and Fairchild added the extra point. The Trojans led 39-13 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

The Bulldogs rallied in the beginning of the 4th quarter, adding seven points, but #20 Jayden Clark scored six for the Trojans with seven minutes to go. Fairchild again added the extra point.

Trojans won 46-20.

Head Coach Chase Courtney said, “Good win last night against Franklin County. I didn’t like our energy or effort in the first half. We came back a little more focused and executed at a much higher level. Quarterback Von Magee, Wide Receiver Braeden Gregory, and Running Back Ty Hilton continue to lead us offensively. Jeonni Fairley had a nice game defensively. With all the injuries and circumstances, we have to feel good about where we are, but we have to just keep learning and growing. We start region play this week against Jefferson Davis County, who is always elite. We need a tremendous week of practice with maximum effort.”

The Trojans will be on the road next week, playing at Jefferson Davis County on Friday, October 3, as they strive to continue a three-game winning streak.
