Summer has come and gone in a blink of an eye. Seems like yesterday it was May and students were turning their tassels.

Magee Schools are preparing for back to school next week.

Improvements are being made to the grounds. Shrubs, grass, and just general cleaning are taken place this week. The old junior high building that is no longer used has had all the bushes and shrubs cleaned and cut from around the building. A special thanks to the community, city, and volunteers who worked hard to help make a difference in the appearance of the schools.

Magee Elementary will have a ribbon cutting Friday, August 4, 2017 at 10:00 am. Open house and the opportunity for students to meet teachers and bring school supplies will be held the same day 12-3.

New traditions are starting as the seniors were allowed to purchase parking spaces this year in front of the auditorium and paint them to their liking.

School will begin Monday, August 7, 2017. The seniors will parade from Auto Zone parking lot beginning at 7:45 am to the school. A 10-minute pep rally and welcome to school will follow immediately in Trojan park before departing for classes.

Magee Trojan football will kick off the football season with a jamboree Friday, August 11, 2017 against Lumberton in Sumrall. Game time 4:00 pm.

Lady Trojan Volleyball will begin their season August 8, 2017 at home against Mendenhall. Junior Varsity game will begin at 5:00 pm, varsity immediately following.

Sit down, buckle up, school is staring and the fast race to Christmas and half of the school year gone will be upon us before we know it!
