Magee skies filled with dark smoke early Saturday morning, March 28th, 2015, after a vacant mobile home caught ablaze.
Magee Firefighters were dispatched just before 7:00 am to an address located on McNair Springs Road where a single-wide mobile home was fully engulfed with flames, and black boiling smoke as firemen arrived on the scene.
Neighbors reported the owner of the home, Nora Walker, who is said to be recovering from surgery, was no longer living there after moving to an assisted living facility in Mendenhall.
Firefighters were quickly able to extinguish the flames before deeming the scene secure, and returning to the station.
Magee Police Department, and Simpson County Sheriff’s Department were also at the scene.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
