Magee High School Softball Season is underway under the helm of new Head Coach Nick Hillman. The Lady Trojans are young! There is only one senior and one junior on the team this year! Coach Hillman hopes to take the young ladies and develop the team the in the path he would like to see them mature. The team is in a building process, but given time the results will be awesome!
The lady Trojans are a smart academic team! Coach Hillman’s first goal is for the Lady Trojans to be an All Academic Team that is recognized by Mississippi High School Activities Association. With six of the athletes already in the top 10 of their class the goal will not take long to achieve.
Coach Hillman sets high standards and expectations. The ladies have had no problem buying into his program.
Coach Hillman is originally from Taylorsville, Mississippi. Hillman began his coaching career in 2009 as an Assistant Coach/Pitching Coach (Baseball) at William Carey University, winning 1 Gulf South Conference Regular Season Championship and appearing in two NAIA Regional Tournaments. As a Head Coach for baseball and softball on the High School level, Coach Hillman has a 29-20 record as a Head Coach in Baseball and a 66-25 record as a Head Coach in Fast pitch Softball. Coach Hillman has won 2 District Championships and has a South State Runner-Up finish. Coach Hillman has made the playoffs every year he has been a Head Coach.
Assistant Coaches are Paul Arnold and Kesiha Coulter.
