Magee High School will celebrate its Homecoming Friday, October 18, on Trojan Field at 7:30 p.m. during half-time. The Homecoming parade will take place on Thursday, October 17, at 5:00 p.m. on Main Street in Magee. The students selected the theme, “Around the World” and will display their class floats during the parade. A pep rally will immediately follow the parade beside Priority One Bank on Main Street.

Homecoming festivities will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night with the presentation of the Homecoming Court and the crowning of the Queen. The football game begins at 7:00 p.m. vs Tylertown.

Football Maids are Ashanti Brown, daughter of daughter of Beverly McGowan and Trellis Brown, Aniyah Williams daughter of Cornelius Williams and Kasheda Barnes. Miss Brown will be escorted by her father, Trellis Brown. Miss Williams will be escorted by her father, Cornelius Williams.

Senior Maids are Kaitlyn McCollum, daughter of Keith and Monica McCollum, Macie West, daughter of Christopher West and Justin and Amy Mullins. Miss McCollum will be escorted by her father, Keith McCollum. Miss West will be escorted by her grandfather, Calvin Blair.

Junior Maids are Keyara Durr, daughter of Sedrick and Keysha Durr, Shatyra Smith daughter of Marrell Smith and Lesley Carten. Miss Durr will be escorted by her father, Sedrick Durr. Miss Smith will be escorted by her father, Marrell Smith.

Sophomore Maids are Madison Norwood daughter of Corey Payne and Tiffany Norwood, Alyssa Payne daughter of Gerald Payne and Deidra Floyd. Miss Norwood will be escorted by her father, Corey Payne. Miss Payne will be escorted by her father, Gerald Payne.

Freshmen Maids are Mylah Davis, daughter of Willie and Brittany Davis, Kymiah McCann, daughter of Devionne and Kimberly McCann. Miss Davis will be escorted by her father, Willie Davis. Miss McCann will be escorted by her father, Devionne Payne.

The name of the Queen will not be revealed until the crowning Friday night. One of the Senior maids will be selected by the student body to be crowned.  The 2018 Homecoming Queen, Aaliyah Walker, daughter of Gerald Walker and Belinda Davis and Magee High principal Dr. Tom Duncan will crown the new queen.
