To celebrate the holiday season the Magee High School administrative team, spearheaded by Secretary and Bookkeeper Katina Gray, and their community partners provided treats for teachers and staff the last week of school. Monday morning staff were provided a sweet treat from LEE’S DONUTS and got mid-day cookies from Magee Trojan Booster Club member Paul Arnold. PEOPLE’S BANK rolled out breakfast biscuits and orange juice to start off everyone’s day on Tuesday. Wednesday the Administrative Team took over lunchroom duty so faculty and staff could enjoy a catered meal from Billy and Crew. ADOPT-A-SCHOOL MEMBERS from the MAGEE COURIER and others along with the ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM chipped in to provide staff a plate of pulled pork on a bun, baked beans, potato salad, and, of course, banana pudding for desert. Bus driver BETTY EVERETT contributed cakes for the occasion. On Thursday, PRIORITY ONE BANK came through with breakfast treats for the staff serving juice, fruit, and biscuits with sausage and bacon.

On Wednesday, staff were challenged to an UGLY SWEATER CONTEST and local businesses teamed up to provide rewards for those who entered. Thanks to MCDONALD’S, THE VAULT, and MAIN AVENUE DETAIL for sharing in the holiday spirit. Our winning UGLIEST SWEATERS were Latisha Hayes – 1st place, Mary May – 2nd place, and Tangia Funches – 3rd place. Thanks to our parent volunteers for helping serve and judge the Ugly Sweaters: Lisa Reed, Stacey Chapin, and Kathy Pittman.
