Magee High School held a signing day celebration in the Library Wednesday, February 6, 2019 for National Signing Day!
Head Coach and Athletic Director Teddy Dyes spoke to a large crowd about how proud he was of these student athletes. Coach Dyess also encouraged students who did not receive offers to not get discouraged or give up, and if playing is what they wanted to try out or walk on somewhere. Coach Dyess also advised there are other avenues for student scholarships other than athletics such as academics, ACT, and leadership.
Student athletes that sign letter of intent to play ball were Javo Thurman – Football, Jalen Franks – Football, and Carolyn Robinson – Softball.

Jalen Franks signed a letter of intent to play football with South West Community College. Jalen is pictured with his parents Willie and Linda Franks, Brother Will Franks Fr., Cousin CJ, Felicia Magee, Percy, Coach Teddy Dyess and Principal Dr. Tom Duncan.
