The Magee Fire Department responded to a woods & brush fire in an area between Deer Run & Lemme Payne Dr @ 1408. The fire originated from a burning pile of scrap lumber & spread quickly due to somewhat dry conditions & lower humidity values, as are usually experienced on late summer afternoons. A wooden fence was in immediate danger & flames had spread into a transmission line right of way. Efforts were concentrated on protecting all exposures, (fence, power poles, structures, etc), 1st. The Forestry Commission was requested for the purpose of cutting a fire line around the area to keep the flames contained. Cooperative efforts between Magee FD, Ms Forestry limited the spread of fire to approximately 4 acres. We had excellent medical stand by provided by ASAP Ambulance. No structures or exposures were damaged. No injuries to any personnel. All units left scene @ 1520
