Earlier today Tuesday, December 9, 2025, the Magee Fire Department responded to a failed check valve at Wal-Mart in Magee.

Fire Chief David Craft said that water had been shut off to the building and was being drained from the sprinkler system.

“You have to drain it to be able to repair it,” Craft said, adding that people were on their way to make repairs.
