Magee Elementary Students Rack Up Awards from Simpson County Soil and Water Conservation District

Magee Elementary School’s Fostering Learning to Attain Goals (FLAG) program racked up on
awards at the Simpson County Soil and Water Conservation District Annual Banquet.

Participating in the organization’s poster contest, FLAG students won first, second and third place in both the 2nd – 3rd Grade Division and the 4th – 5th Grade Division. Those winners consisted of

  • Aubree Hayes, who won 1st Place in the 2nd – 3rd Grade Division and $75;
  • Michael Monday-Fayard, who won 2nd Place in the 2nd – 3rd Grade Division and $50;
  • Ethan Johnson, who won 3rd Place in the 2nd – 3rd Grade Division and $25;
  • Adleigh Pegram, who 1st Place in the 4th – 5th Grade Division and $75;
  • Tyler Bass, who won 2nd Place in the 4th – 5th Grade Division and $50; and
  • Alandria Rhodes, who received 3rd Place in in the 4th – 5th Grade Division and $25.

Also winning an award was FLAG teacher Leslie May, who was presented with the Simpson County Conservation Teacher of the Year Award.
