The annual Magee Chamber of Commerce banquet was held Thursday night, March 7, 2019 at the Blueberry Peace Barn venue in Magee.
The large crowd enjoyed a reception on the porch of the Barn followed by dinner inside the venue. Jarrod Lee provided music for the reception. Simpson County Future Leaders class and the Mayor Youth Council served guest a delicious mean prepared by Chris Williams and his team.
Many Magee business decorated tables adding much color and fun to the night’s decorations. Check out this article for pictures of the tables scapes.
Pat Brown served as Master of Ceremony. Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann gave the welcome.
Valencia Williamson, Executive Vice President Area Development Partnership of Hattiesburg presented the program. Mrs. Williamson spoke of the importance of joining all organizations into the promoting of the Chamber.
Josh Fairchild was named Star Student for Magee High School. Josh choose Dick Wendt as his Star teacher.
Austin Lane was named Star Student for Simpson Academy. He chose Mr. Chris Murphy as his Star teacher.
Upcoming Chamber President Christian Carrico gave a presentation on Making Magee/Simpson County/State of Mississippi beautiful. Magee has been chosen as the launch site for Keep America Beautiful which will be held on Saturday, April 6th at McNair Springs beginning at 8:00 AM
