The board also approved a summary change order to match the final amount of the project.

Forrest Dungan of Clearpoint Engineers informed the board that the city does qualify for a tier two project with 80% principal forgiveness. Originally, the board had approved applying for a $4 million loan, but the board approved increasing the amount to $5 million. Essentially, the city will only be responsible for paying $1 for every $5 spent.

The board discussed the 2026 zoning amendment that was never adopted and decided to table the issue.

Jimmy Zila informed the board that 488 kids had signed up for baseball and softball.

Airport Manager David Moore informed the board that the airport had passed inspection in every area except the runway and apron. He told the board 2000 gallons of fuel had been sold, and the airport has 3500 gallons left.

Brett Duncan of Prince CPA explained that “the city is staying within the bounds of the budget.”

The board approved a PO for $143,000 for garbage trucks and authorized the city clerk to advertise for financing bids. The board also approved advertising for three weeks a $3 per month garbage rate increase.
