The Magee Board of Alderman met Tuesday, April 21, 2021 for their regular scheduled meeting.
Mayor Dale Berry thanked Colonial Chapel Funeral Home for the use of one a tent during the filming of Water Tower clean out with Reality Star Mike Rowe.
Berry recognized PriorityOne Bank for feeding the city employees.
Doris Adcox, with the Chamber of Commerce, met before the board inviting everyone to the Chamber banquet, Thursday, April 29, 2021. Adcox advised the Board a Carnival would be in town next week and encouraged everyone to attend.
Alderman Lane Steele replaced the vacant spot on the Zoning Board with Glen Smith.
Berry reminded everyone the American Bloom and CN grant would be awarded Wednesday, April 21, 2021 9:00 a.m. at the Ural Everett Park.
The City thanked the local volunteers who worked Saturday for the beautification of Ural Everett Park and The Goodwater Community. Berry advised the board the old (1946) firetruck can be painted in the restoration process by a former firefighter. The cost would run approximately $6,000.00. The fire department and board would like to consider fundraisers. A place to house the firetruck has yet to be determined.
