Magee Board of Alderman met Tuesday, May 2, 2017.
Minutes and claims docket were approved.
Mayor Jimmy Clyde acknowledged City of Magee being chosen by Boswell Regional Center as Business Sponsor of the Year.
The board approved a beer permit for Fernando’s restaurant, after all paperwork and certification was received from the State of Mississippi.
A beer permit was also approved for Fred’s Dollar Store.
Mayor Jimmy Clyde advised Clean-up week was very successful. Mayor acknowledge and thanked local schools (SCA and Magee) for their participation in Clean up week as well as the community. Students from both schools picked up trash at sports complex and city parks.
The board along with Mayor thanked the police department for the fast response in assisting an individual in need earlier in the week by transporting them to the ER and helping save a life.
With no further business meeting was recessed.
