I had the opportunity to visit with a fine young man last week, Daniel Baldwin. Daniel is an accomplished pianist. Now, he may not think he is an accomplished pianist, but I sure do! Listening to his music played before a huge crowd on the coast bring chills! He’s got “it.” “It” can be stage presence, composure, raw talent…but mostly…he has “it” in his heart and “it” comes through his fingers on the key board.
Daniel placed in the top three in Talent Division at the State Junior Beta Club Convention which is all public, private & homeschool students who are Junior Beta Clubs members. Daniel and his siblings are home schooled by his mother, Julie Baldwin.
Daniel belongs to an area home school group named Deuteronomy 6:7. The group works together on different project as well as allowing social outings for the students.
Daniel and his family have so many activities…I don’t even know how he has time to practice. Daniel’s win allows him to attend the National Competition in Disney World. Daniel is working hard to raise money for the trip. We are blessed in Magee to have someone with Daniel’s talent…and to promote our city before a nationwide crowd.
