Magee Board of Alderman met on their regular scheduled meeting Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 6:30 pm.

Mayor Jimmy Clyde called meeting to order and led in the pledge of allegiance followed by prayer.

All minutes and reports were approved.

The claims docket was reviewed and approved.

In Police matters, Chief Randy Crawford asked the board to approve hiring Shena Freeman as a full time dispatcher. Ms Freeman is already certified. The board voted and approved the hiring.

In the fire department matters Charlie asked the board for Kevin Meadows to attend a State of MS Records Management conference on January 12, 2016 at the Co-Lin Wesson Campus. This would be free of charge. Board voted and approved. Permission was also asked for firemen, Tony Puckett, Chris Tuggle, and Phillip Magee to attend free of charge an explosive 1st responders conference on February 9, 2016. Board voted and approved.

A tree request at Lamar and Atkinson Drive NE was surveyed and showed some to be on city right of way. Southern Pine is in the process of investigating and seeing if they can remove the tree.

The board voted and approved to observe December 31st a Holiday for city employees since the Governor has proclaimed this day as a state holiday.

With no further business, meeting was adjourned to go into executive session to discuss other matters.
