Magee Board of Aldermen Meeting

 

Board of Aldermen met Tuesday August 18, 2015 at 6:30 pm. The meeting was called to order and Lane Steele led prayer.

The works projects and committee reports were read and approved.

 

Under Unfinished Business the following was read and approved

  1. Approve minutes
  2. Pay estimate on Frontage Road
  3. Public Hearing budget
  4. Adopt Tax Levy
  5. Engineers estimate on frontage road project.

 

Under New Business the claims docket was approved.

 

Mayor Clyde signed the DUI grant.

 

The Fire Department reported we were still under a burn ban until more rain is received.

 

Public Waters Works had no new business at this time.

 

Delta Regional Authority Grant– permission was granted for Mayor Clyde to explore the opportunity for this grant.

 

Pay Estimate Airport Project

 

Change order number 2 Airport project

 

Resolution authorizing recreational facilities improvements. This is for the approval of the 1% tax on hotels and restaurants to continue to payoff current debt and any additional work needed to the recreation area. Approvel to post intent to issue bond was discussed.

 

Special meeting called for the 17th at 6:30 for the approval of bonds.

 

Meeting was adjourned for an executive board meeting.
