Mayor Dale Berry advised the auction the previous weekend brought a net profit of $29,000.00.

The board approved looking further into the details to purchase an ATM machine for the police station. The ATM would allow citizens an opportunity for cash to pay water bills at City Hall as well as  cash for court fines.

The board was presented with the new employee health rates that will go into effect within the next month. The city will see a 24% increase in health insurance premiums. The city presently pays 70% of employees premium. The board approved to increase the premium coverage to 72% for the city’s part to help offset the price increase for employees.

In zoning matters, the board voted to close 1108 Mill Drive SE, Magee, MS to large trucks. The road base of Mill Drive SE was not developed for large equipment thus the reason for closing.

The meeting was called into executive session.
