The Magee High School Band participated in the Copiah Marching Festival on Saturday, October 1st.   Drum Major, Kameron Durr, received a superior and received the outstanding award of being selected as “Best In Class”.  The Colorguard received a superior and finished 2nd in class. Trojan Percussion received a superior and finished 3rd in class only one point out of first.   The band is working hard to improve for the State Festival at Pearl this Saturday.  They will perform at 10:15.  Please take time to encourage the Directors, Mrs. Gray and Mr. Mercer, and students for their hard work.  I don’t think many realize the number of hours they spend working to represent our school and city.  They deserve our support.
