Maddox McRae, Son of LeAnne Creel McRae of Mendenhall and Michael McRae of Birmingham, has been accepted into The Altamont School in Birmingham, Alabama.

 

Maddox was one of 67 new students from across the US and other countries that were accepted into Altamont this year.

The Altamont School is a coeducational college preparatory school with a total enrollment of 370 students in grades 5-12.

 

Admission to Altamont is competitive. An applicant’s academic record, the Independent School Entrance Exam, Interview and teacher recommendations are all part of the admission evaluation. Maddox was also awarded a scholarship to attend The Altamont School.

 

The Altamont School has college matriculations to numerous exceptional colleges including Yale, Harvard, and Princeton Universities.

 

Maddox attended Mendenhall Elementary previously and will start his new journey in 5th grade at The Altamont School on August 16th.
